Presents a Special Screening during Sundance for New Film, “Sinners Wanted” Starring Lamman Rucker, Clifton Powell, and Traci Braxton.

New York, NYAfrican American Women In Cinema (AAWIC) will host a special screening program of the highly anticipated film “Sinners Wanted” during the internationally-acclaimed 2018 Sundance Film Festival! The film stars Clifton Powell, Lamman Rucker, Traci Braxton and Tasha Cobbs.

Celebrating diversity, the AAWIC special screening program was kicked off last year with the pre-

25th Anniversary screening of “Just Another Girl on the I.R.T.” (Official Sundance selection) by

Cinematic Iconic Director, Leslie Harris (Sundance Festival Jury Prize winner).

The screening will be held in Park City, Utah on January 20th, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at

Leo Shepherd, a young vibrant minister from Macon, Georgia, relocates to Washington, DC, for an opportunity to pastor Grace Community Church. On the first night of this installment, he meets a prostitute named Ginger Clementine known as GiGi. Ironically, Leo is immediately attracted to her as she reminds him of his mother. They begin to grow closer and their feelings develop. The church finds out about the relationship and immediately has concerns about how detrimental this woman is for the church’s image. Despite their demands and her troubled past, Leo continues to pursue GiGi, falling deeply in love until he asks for her hand in marriage. Their holy union turns out to be catastrophic and reveals both Leo’s and GiGi’s past.

The movie screening will include thought-provoking conversations through live Q & A along with a networking party after the screening.
